| Professional activities | Dr. Gopalan is a clinical investigator with a focus on thoracic malignancies. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and board eligible in Medical Oncology. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Association for Cancer Research. Dr. Gopalan’s research interests are in the development of new therapeutic strategies for patients with lung cancer. Specifically, she is involved in the translation of novel treatment agents to the clinical setting to improve patient survival and quality of life. In addition, she is working on the discovery of new biomarkers to help identify those patients who will benefit from new and established treatments. |
