The Hematology Division provides inpatient consultation and outpatient care at Barnes-Jewish Hospital for patients with blood disorders. Included in these are patients with hematologic complications from non-hematologic diseases and therapies.

In the ambulatory (outpatient) setting, our hematologists monitor patients with primary hematologic diseases who require continuing or intermittent medical care, including those with sickle cell disease, hemophilia and acquired chronic illnesses such as polycythemia vera and ITP.
