The 2nd Annual Hematology Division Research Retreat was held on November 17th, with insightful presentations and engaging discussions amongst Hematology trainees and faculty. Faculty presentations were given by Luis Batista, Ben Jennings, Andrew Young, and Amber Afzal. Trainee oral presentations were delivered by Fan He (Oh Lab), Jeeseung Kim (Kang Lab), and Jingu Lee (Cho Lab). The J. Evan Sadler lecture was delivered by keynote speaker Dr. Denisa Wagner, Edwin Cohn Professor of Pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. The day concluded with a poster session and dinner with recognition of achievements and announcement of awards. The George Broze Research Award for best presentation was awarded to Fan He (Oh Lab), and best poster awardees were Jae-Sung Kim (Cho Lab) and Jiye Yi (Kang Lab). It was a successful retreat that fostered collaboration and knowledge-sharing among all participants.
