Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis is one of nine U.S. academic institutions selected by the American Society of Hematology for the organization’s Hematology-Focused Fellowship Training Program (HFFTP) – an innovative initiative aimed at addressing the critical need to expand the number of hematologists. The society has invested $19 million to launch the new fellowship tracks, which will provide critical education, mentorship and research opportunities for fellows interested in pursuing careers in classical hematology.
